MADE IN ITALY

"Fashion is an excellent opportunity to express art, culture, civilization and to enrich people's consciousness". We, Italians, like all peoples, have qualities and defects. One of the virtues is the surprising originality of the spirit. Equally important seems to me to be the perpetual desire for beauty, the continuous attempt of professionals to identify perfection in the universal sense of the word.

I also identify with this idealistic concept of utopian beauty. I have been serving him faithfully for a lifetime through the projects of the Mengotti group and I am convinced that in Romania the concept of <<Made in Italy>> is understood in all its depth and complexity. The small town they come from, Bassano del Grappa, has an important art museum and the Veneto region gave birth to Tintoretto Tiziano and Jacopo Bassano.

I travel a lot and always look to see original works of art to better understand other cultures. Coming from an authentic medieval city, I was formed in the sense of love for the historical identity of all civilizations and the perception of beauty in all its forms: architecture, sculpture, painting, fashion.
